The Life of Theodore V Orlowich

Funeral services will be held at a 10:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, May 15, 2006 in the Delhomme Chapel of the Flowers for Theodore Victor Orlowich, age 86, who passed away peacefully in his sleep on Friday, May 12, 2006 at 11:00 p.m. at his residence in Lafayette.

Very Rev. Msgr. J. Douglas Courville, JCL will officiate at the funeral services.

Interment will be in Lafayette Memorial Park in Lafayette.

Mr. Orlowich was a native of New York City, New York and a resident of Lafayette since 1946. He was retired from the U.S. Postal Service. Mr. Orlowich was a veteran of the military having served in the U.S. Army. He retired from the U.S. Army Reserve as Major. While serving in the armed services from 1940 '' 1945 he received numerous medals, including the Bronze Star from the European Theatre of Operations.

Survivors include, his wife, the former Bernice Simon LeBlanc; two daughters, Barbara L. Robinson and her husband, Richard, and Sandra A. Bush and her husband, David; three granddaughters, Donna Haas and her husband, Kenneth, Annette Cutrera and her husband, Tonio, and Ashley Champagne and her husband, Jonathan; five great grandchildren, Lauren, Julie, Luke, Alexandra and Jillian; one nephew, Jack Robertson; and two nieces, Mary Jacklyn Huber and her husband, Fritz, and Sharon Smith and her husband, Patrick.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Orlowich and the former Anna Hendryk and his first wife, the former Eryn Saucier.

Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Sunday and will continue on Monday from 8:00 a.m. until service time.

A rosary will be prayed at 5:30 p.m. on Sunday in the funeral home by the Very Rev. Msgr. J. Douglas Courville, JCL.

Pallbearers will be Richard Robinson, David Scott Bush, Tonio Cutrera, Irby Simon, Carl Simon, and Harry Simon.

Honorary pallbearers will be Stimson Simon and Robert Walker.

Delhomme Funeral Home, 1011 Bertrand Drive, Lafayette, is in charge of all funeral arrangements
