The Life of Wilfred Quebodeaux
Funeral Services will be held at a 1:00 pm Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, July 2, 2009 in the Delhomme Chapel of the Flowers in Lafayette for Wilfred Quebodeaux, 72, who passed away on June 26, 2009 at Long Term Acute Care of Acadiana.
Reverend Michael Keith Landry, Associate Pastor of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church in Broussard, will be Celebrant of the Mass and will conduct the funeral services.
Burial will take place in Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mr. Quebodeaux, a resident of Arnaudville, LA, was the son of the late Honore Quebodeaux of Crowley, Louisiana and the former Gladys Guidry of Rayne, Louisiana. He was a member of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church. He retired from W.R. Grace in Sulphur, LA after 20 years of employment. He was previously employed by the St. Martin Sheriff Department for 6 years. He was also a member of the VFW in Breaux Bridge. Wilfred was a dedicated LSU Fan and enjoyed attending many of their games.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Bertha R. Quebodeaux of Arnaudville, LA; two daughters, Christina "Tina" Q. Hayes and her husband, Neil of Lafayette, LA and Mona Q. Dodge of Billings, Montana; one son, Keith M. Quebodeaux and his wife, Frieda of Westlake, LA; four sisters; two brothers; ten grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three sisters.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed on Wednesday, July 1, 2009 from 10:00 am until 10:00 pm and will resume at 9:00 am until service time on Thursday, July 2nd.
A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm on Wednesday, July 1st at Delhomme Funeral Home of Lafayette.
Pallbearers will be Ritchie Reed, Ronald Reed, Steve Little, Melvin Babin, Beau Carter, and Steve Champagne.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in the name of Wilfred Quebodeaux to The National Kidney Foundation, 30 E. 33rd St., New York, NY 10016.
