The Life of Patricia Wallace
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, January 23, 2010 at an 11:30 AM Mass of Christian Burial in La Chapelle de Martin & Castille for Patricia D. Wallace, age 68, who passed away peacefully on January 20, 2010 at her residence in Scott.Interment will be in Holy Mary Mother of God Cemetery.Reverend Thomas Voorhies, Pastor of Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Scott will be the Celebrant of the Funeral Mass and will conduct the Funeral Services. Survivors include her loving husband of 28 years, Charles R. Wallace; her children, Garret Morvant and his wife Angela, Gwen Morvant Miller and her husband Kerry, and Blake Morvant; five grandchildren, Summer Miller, Dexter Miller, Brittni Morvant, Kyrstin Morvant and Chloe Vincent; one great grandchild, Ryker Quebodeaux and two sisters, Barbara Gachassin and Dolores Hale.She was preceded in death by her parents, Valery J. Durand and the former, Doris Dugas.Mrs. Wallace was born on March 26, 1941 in New Iberia and was a resident of Scott for many years. She was a parishioner at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Scott. Mrs. Wallace was a devoted and wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. She loved cooking for family members and especially enjoyed preparing birthday dinners and entertaining. Mrs. Wallace also loved antiquing and quilting in her spare time.A Rosary will be prayed by the Sts. Peter and Paul Legion of Mary of Scott, LA at 7:00 PM in the Martin & Castille Funeral Home in Lafayette.The family requests that visitation be observed Friday from 12:00 Noon until 9:00 PM and Saturday from 8:00 AM until time of service.Martin & Castille - 330 St. Landry Street, Lafayette 234-2311
