The Life of Clifford John Gaubert
Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 2, 2007 at a 1:00 PM Mass of Christian Burial in Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist for Clifford J. Gaubert, 62, who passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 30, 2007 at his residence in Lafayette.Interment will be in the Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery.Reverend Monsignor Charles J. Mallet will be the Celebrant of the funeral Mass and will conduct the funeral services. Lectors will be Michelle Dunbar and Cliff Gaubert. Giftbearers will be his grandchildren. Raymond Hebert and Melody Thibodaux, accompanied on the organ by Jason Pennington, will sing for the funeral Mass, "On Eagles' Wings", "Psalm 23", "The Lord's Prayer", "Panis Angelicus", and "Be Not Afraid".Survivors include his beloved wife, Jacqueline Mitchell Gaubert of Lafayette; three children, Michelle G. Dunbar and her husband, Chris of Youngsville, Clifford John Gaubert, Jr. and his wife, Susan F. of Spartanburg, South Carolina, and Yvette G. Horstmann and her husband, Kent of Houston, Texas; six grandchildren, John Stephen Dunbar, Charlotte Dunbar, Meredith Dunbar, Cameron Gaubert, Evan Gaubert, and John Davis Gaubert.Mr. Gaubert was the owner and operator of his family business, Tribune Printing. He was a 1963 graduate of Cathedral High School. Mr. Gaubert enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.A Rosary will be prayed on Sunday, July 1, 2007 at 7:00 PM in Martin & Castille Funeral Home.The family requests that visitation be observed on Sunday from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Monday from 10:00 AM until service time.Pallbearers will be his son, Cliff Gaubert, his grandson, John Stephen Dunbar, his sons-in-law, Chris Dunbar and Kent Horstmann and his brothers-in-law, John Wayne Mitchell, Charles Mitchell, Roland Hebert and close friend, Burt Arceneaux. Honorary pallbearers will be Robert Trahan, Todd Trahan, Hunter Trahan and Brandon Trahan.
