The Life of Milton I Venable
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, March 22, 2006 at a 2:00 PM Service in La Chapelle de Martin & Castille for Milton Venable, age 79, who died Sunday, March 19, 2006 at 12:30 PM at his residence in Broussard.Interment will be in Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery.Reverend Keith J. DeRouen, Rector of the Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist will conduct the Funeral Services. Jodi Bollich, organist, will sing for the services, "Amazing Grace", "The Wind Beneath My Wings", "J''irai la voir un jour" and "Notre Pere".Survivors include two daughters, Deborah Young and Khristine Roseberry and her husband, Anthony; four sons, Terry Venable, Don Venable and his wife, Donna, Frank Venable and his wife, Wendy, Thomas Venable and his wife, Carolyn; two step daughters, Cathy Stutes and her husband, Glen and Sue Taylor; one stepson, Ellis Taylor; twenty two grandchildren, twenty six great grandchildren and two sisters, Eva Venable and Nita Thibodeaux and her husband, Leland.He was preceded in death by his wife, Delta Gallagher Venable; his parents, Marius and Azelima Faul Venable; an infant daughter, Brenda Venable; granddaughter, Heather Menard; seven sisters and four brothers.A native of Acadia Parish and a resident of Broussard for ten years, Mr. Venable was a veteran of military service, having served in the United States Army.Prior to his retirement, he was employed in Pipeline Construction in the oilfield industry.A Rosary will be prayed Tuesday at 11:00 AM and also Tuesday at 7:00 PM in the Martin & Castille Funeral Home in Lafayette.The family requests that visiting hours be observed Tuesday from 9:00 AM until 10:00 PM and Wednesday from 8:00 AM until time of services. The family would like to extend special thanks to Hospice of Acadiana for their excellent care. Also to his aides, Sharkita Johnson and Alberta Broussard and to his caregivers, Khristine and Anthony Roseberry.Pallbearers will be Terry Venable, Don Venable, Frank Venable, Thomas Venable, Anthony Roseberry and Ronald Veronie. Honorary pallbearers are Anthony Venable, Patrick Venable, Joseph Venable, Tavis Venable and Ellis Taylor.
