The Life of Alice B Savoy

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 4, 2007 at a 10:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial in La Chapelle de Martin & Castille for Alice B. Savoy, 98, who passed away peacefully on Monday, April 2, 2007 at Vermilion Health Care in Nunez.Interment will be in Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery in Lafayette.Reverend Louis J. Richard, Pastor of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in Broussard, will be the Celebrant of the funeral Mass and will conduct the funeral services. Jodi Bollich, organist and soloist, will sing for the services, "How Great Thou Art", "You Will Never Walk Alone", "J''aira la voir un jour", and "Hail Mary, Gentle Woman".Survivors include James Curtis Broussard and his wife, Joycie; her caregivers; numerous nieces and nephews; and great nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her husband, Douglas Savoy; her parents, Dupre'' and Elizabeth Broussard; three brothers, Otis, Arthur and Claude Broussard; three sisters, Effie, Rosa and Anna Broussard; her half brothers, Alphe, Clobule, Albert, and Remy Broussard, Obrey, Ode'' and Rex Duhon; half sisters, Eda Vincent, Editha Hebert and Emerite Broussard.Mrs. Savoy, the daughter of the late Dupre'' Broussard and Elizabeth Duhon Broussard, was a native of Maurice, Louisiana and a resident of Lafayette. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.A Rosary will be prayed on Tuesday, April 3, 2007 at 6:30 PM in Martin & Castille Funeral Home in Lafayette.The family requests that visitation be observed on Tuesday from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM and on Wednesday from 8:00 AM until time of services.The family would like to extend a special "Thank You" to Vermilion Health Care for all of their kindness, gentle care, and love shown to Mrs. Alice through the years.
