The Life of Mary Lea Ham

Funeral services will be held at 10: 30 AM on Saturday, March 21, 2009 in the Delhomme Chapel of the Flowers for Mary Lea Ham, 81, who passed away on March 18, 2009 at Lafayette General Medical Center after an extended illness. Reverend Ed Boyd, Pastor of Asbury United Methodist Church and Reverend Ann Sutton, Associate Pastor of Asbury United Methodist Church will conduct the funeral services. Burial will take place in Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery. Mrs. Ham, a resident of Lafayette, LA, was the daughter of the late Walter W Jackson and the former Ada Tyler. Mary retired from Gerami Interior's after 27 years of service. She was a member of the Cruisin Cajuns Motorcoach Club, and Asbury United Methodist Church for over 40 years. She is survived by husband of 61 years, Gerald D. Ham of Lafayette; two daughters, Kay Wolf and husband Richard of New Iberia, and Annette Landreaux and husband Earl of Lafayette; five grandchildren, Cpt. Sean Gilder USAF and wife Mindi, Richard Wolf, Jr. and wife Trisha, Corey Arceneaux and fiancee Jenny Strate, Kristen Oalmann and husband Jeff, and Daniel Arceneaux; three great-grandchildren, Aries Gilder, Gavin Arceneaux, and Devin Oalmann; one sister, Novella Robertson of North Little Rock, Arkansas; one brother, Ray Jackson and wife Juanita of Hot Springs, Arkansas. She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Notra Shelton; one brother-in-law, Walter Robertson. The family requests that visiting hours be observed on Friday, March 20, 2009 from 3:00 PM until 8:00 PM and will continue on Saturday from 8:00 AM until service time at Delhomme Funeral Home in Lafayette. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made in the name of Mary Lea Ham to Asbury United Methodist Church, Building Fund, 101 Live Oak Blvd., Lafayette, La. 70503. Pallbearers will be Greg Gerami, Gary Gerami, Earl Landreaux, Richard Wolf, Sr., Terrill Luter, and Gary Jackson. Honorary Pallbearers will be Bob Landry, Gerald Gerami, Sr. Delhomme Funeral Home, 1011 Bertrand DriveLafayette, is in charge of funeral arrangements.
