The Life of Blanche Rose Kaufman

Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 7, 2008 at a 2:00 PM service in La Chapelle de Martin & Castille for Blanche R. Kaufman, 84, who passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 5, 2008 at Rosewood Retirement Center in Lafayette.Interment will be in Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery.Reverend Jeff Ables of Crossroads Church will officiate the funeral services.Survivors include three daughters, Patricia A. Howard and her husband, Glenn of Mobile, Alabama, Kathryn E. Brown of Lafayette, and Carol E. Wyatt and her husband, Rick of Lafayette; one son, Phillip A. Kaufman of Lafayette and five grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Charles E. Kaufman; her parents, Otto J. Hepting and Beulah B. Carper Hepting and two brothers, Harry and Bob Hepting.Blanche was a veteran of the Navy serving during W.W. II and further served in the military as a meteorologist in Washington D.C.  A native of Denver, Colorado and resident of Lafayette, Louisiana for most of her life, Mrs. Kaufman was a loving mother, grandmother and friend to all who knew her. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.  She wants to be remembered that she was a white rose after her namesake.Pallbearers will be Phillip Kaufman, Glenn, Michael, Kevin, and Cary Howard, and Ricky Wyatt.The family requests that visitation be observed on Sunday from 5:00 PM till 8:00 PM and on Monday from 11:00 AM until time of service.
