The Life of NANCY LEE POE
Nancy Poe, 76, went home to be with her Lord on Tuesday, December 27, 2011 at Iowa Health Hospice Taylor House in Des Moines. She was born April 2, 1935 in Des Moines to Louis and Gladys (Jacobsen) Rogers.
She loved planting flowers and spending time with her family.
Nancy is survived by her daughter, Terri (Doug) Benda; sons, Wiliam (Jamie) Poe, Jr., Robert Poe, and Donald (Roxanne) Poe; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and her siblings, Marla Reece, Bonita Petterson, Linda Michael, and William Rogers. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, William Poe, Sr.; and grandson, WIlliam James Poe.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Saturday, December 31, 2011, at Hamilton''s Near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue, with burial to follow at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 5 to 7 p.m., Friday, December 30, 2011 at the funeral home.
