The Life of Annette "Ann" (Amico) Vellucci

Annette "Ann" Vellucci, 82, of Seymour, peacefully entered into eternal rest on Christmas Day, December 25, 2011, at St. Mary's Hospital in Waterbury. She was the beloved wife of the late Eugene Vellucci Sr. Mrs. Vellucci was born in Derby on March 15, 1929, daughter of the late Angelo and Irma Pica Amico. A resident of Seymour since 1994, she grew up in Ansonia and was a graduate of Ansonia High School in 1946. She also lived many years in Waterbury where she raised her family. Ann was an avid duck pin bowler at Perrillo Lanes and Sena's Lanes in Waterbury. She was a fan of professional football, especially the Dallas Cowboys, and extremely loved her grandchildren. She is survived by two sons, Eugene Vellucci Jr. (Pam) of Terryville and Vincent Vellucci of Cheshire, a brother, Salvatore Amico of GA, a sister, Josephine Carnevale of Seymour, four cherished grandchildren, Michael Vellucci of Bristol, RI, Anthony Vellucci of Milford, Kyle and Jagger Vellucci of Cheshire, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister, Mary Bernardini. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral on Thursday December 29, 2011, at 9:15am from the SPINELLI-RICCIUTI/BEDNAR-OSIECKI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia, followed by a funeral service at 10:00 am at the First Baptist Church, 235 Prindle Avenue, in Ansonia. Interment will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery in Ansonia. Visiting hours will be held on WEDNESDAY from 4-7 pm. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Spooner House, 30 Todd Road, Shelton, CT 06484 or through the funeral director.
