The Life of DORIS B LEGG
Doris B. Legg, 95, passed away on Sunday November 13, 2011 at the Sunny View care center in Ankeny. A Memorial service will be held on Wednesday, November 16, 2011, at the Ankeny Christian Church (2506 S.W. 3rd Street) at 11:00 a.m. with a family greeting one hour prior to service time. Burial will take place in the Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Doris was born near Grand River on June 14, 1916 to Orval and Merle (Smith) Hendrickson, and has lived in the Des Moines area since 1950. Doris was a homemaker and a member of the Ankeny Christian Church. Doris is survived by; her three children Deanna (James K.) Juhl of Dike, Doreen (Fred) Leonard of West Des Moines, and David (Rose) Legg of Des Moines, brother Francis (Beverly) Hendrickson of Indianola, and sister Edith Kerns of Murray, 17 grandchildren, and 32 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Dale, one great grandson, James P. Juhl, 4 brothers and 4 sisters.
