The Life of DONNA MAE WESLOSKI
Donna Wesloski passed away on Tuesday, November 8, 2011 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center. She was 63 years old.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, November 14, 2011 at First Baptist Church of Greater Des Moines, 8250 NW 62nd Avenue, Johnston, with a visitation for two hours prior to the service. Burial will be at Highland Memory Garden Cemetery.
Donna is survived by her husband, Bill; daughters, Toni Rae Flood and Katie Murray; son, J.R. Scherer; four grandchildren; sister, Susan Broeman; and cousin, Sandy Powers. She is preceded in death by her parents.
Donna was a long time member of First Baptist Church of Greater Des Moines assisting with the church’s chapel services downtown and lending her voice as a soloist to the choir at the main church. Donna always helped her husband, Bill, with all facets of their business, assisting in areas of inventory, accounting and stocking. Donna and Bill had a special bond made stronger by her serving as Bill’s eyes, just as Bill served as her hands and feet. She would always read off the sheet music for Bill to assist him in his playing of the piano.
