The Life of ROSEMARY HELEN KING

Rosemary “Rosie” King, 76, died Monday, October 24, 2011, at Taylor House Hospice in Des Moines. She was born January 17, 1935 in Council Bluffs, Iowa, to Thomas and Marie Caraher. Rosemary retired in 1999 after 20 years of service to Qwest. Prior to working at Qwest, she owned and operated the Donut King on E. 14th Street with her husband, T. Raymond King. Rosemary is survived by her mother, Marie; daughter, Diana (Harold) Jensen of Des Moines, son, John (Chris) King of Carlisle, daughter, Julie King of Des Moines, daughter, Lisa (Karl) Krech of Clive, and daughter, Rhonda (Bill) Jensen of Des Moines; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; six brothers and three sisters. She was preceded in death by her husband, father and one brother. Funeral services will be held 12 p.m., Friday, October 28, 2011, at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Ave., Des Moines. A private family burial will be held at a later date at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 5 to 7 p.m., Thursday, October 27 at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Taylor House Hospice in loving memory of Rosemary.
