DRAKE, GEORGE T.,JR. George T. Drake Jr., 87, of Ansonia, entered into rest on September 8, 2011, at Gardner Heights in Shelton. Mr. Drake was born in Derby on December 27, 1923, son of the late George T. Drake Sr. and Bertha Ann Fultz Drake. George was a lifelong resident of Ansonia who loved people. He was well known for pulling his wagon through the streets of Ansonia. He is survived by a sister, Doris Matthews of Ansonia, nieces and nephews, Paula Euell of AZ, Bill Farnham of Oakville, Harold Farnham of New Haven, Brenda Gibbs of Ansonia, Charles Byrd Jr. of FL, Joseph C. Sills Jr. of Meriden, Ranaye Sills of VA, Vincent C. Drake Jr. of Derby, and Dove and Dean Drake of Canada. He was predeceased by brothers, Vincent and Victor Drake and sisters, Lorraine Sills and Gladys Byrd. George's funeral service will be private and at the discretion of the family. Inurnment will take place in the family plot in Pine Grove Cemetery in Ansonia.
