The Life of Mary Gardo Morey
Mary T. Morey, age 97, wife of the late George H. Morey and resident of Beacon Falls, entered into eternal rest September 13, 2011. She was born April 13, 1914 in Grafton, Mass., daughter of the late Phillip and Teresa Squayzer Gardo. A former parishioner of St. Anthony's Church in Ansonia, Mary worked for Charlton Press in Derby. She leaves two sons, George Morey of West Haven and Donald J. Morey of Norwalk, her daughter Elaine L. Rich of Beacon Falls, and one niece, one nephew, eleven grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. She was predeceased by two brothers, Antonio and Liberio Gardo and three sisters, Dorothy Sullivan, Tricilla Gardo & Delida Gardo. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, 10 a.m. at the Jenkins King & Malerba Funeral Home, 12 Franklin St. Ansonia. (www.jenkinskingfh.com) Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery.
