The Life of ROBERT B HAYES JR.
Bob passed away at Taylor House on February 17, 2011, at age 69.
Memorial services will be held 10 a.m., Wednesday, February 23, 2011, at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue, Des Moines. A visitation with family present will be from 5 to 7 p.m., Tuesday at the funeral home.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Arlene, and a nephew. He is survived by his five sisters, two brothers, two sons, Kevin and Jody, six grandchildren. and one great-grandchild.
In his younger years, Bob had a passion for horses that inspired him to become a Jockey. His love for horses didn’t end after racing; he bought, raised and trained Quarter horses of his own on an acreage in Indianola.
Bob was a hard worker and enjoyed working in the yard and garden. He will be greatly missed.
The family would like to express their appreciation and gratitude for the kindness and caring extended by Taylor House and Iowa Health nurses.
