The Life of SANDRA SUE DAWSON
Sandra Dawson, 71, died Wednesday, August 17, 2011, at Iowa Methodist Hospital in Des Moines. She was born July 21, 1940, in Des Moines to William and Lois Howard. She taught fifth and sixth grades at Perkins Elementary. She was very passionate about her teaching career.
Sandra is survived by her loving husband, Claude; her son, David Dawson; her daughter, Kris Sherman; and her granddaughter Elizabeth Sherman. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Ruth.
Funeral services will be 2 pm Monday, August 22, 2011, at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue, with burial to follow at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery. Family will greet friends from 5–7 pm Sunday, August 21, 2011, at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Camp Fire at 5615 Hickman Road, Des Moines, Iowa 50310 in loving memory of Sandra.
