The Life of Robert F. Scheetz
Robert F. Scheetz AUSTINTOWN – Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel for Robert F. Scheetz, 89, who passed away Tuesday evening at Austinwoods. Robert was born Jan. 5, 1921 in Youngstown, the son of Alexander John and Margaret (Crum) Scheetz. Robert attended Austintown Fitch High School. He played AA baseball. Robert was a carpenter for over 50 years with the Carpenters Local No. 171, retiring in 1983. He coached Austintown Little League and was involved with Boy Scouts Troop No. 3. Robert was an avid gardener and enjoyed hunting. Robert leaves his wife, the former Donna J. Hall, whom he married July 6, 1948; a daughter, Janet L. Scheetz of Austintown; four sons, John R. Scheetz of Columbus, Robert F. (Tamara) Scheetz Jr. of Canfield, David J. Scheetz of Austintown, and Paul E. Scheetz of Richmond, Va.; two sisters, Stella C. Erb of Wadsworth and Marcella L. Chuey of Petersburg; six grandchildren, Renee Scheetz, Jason Scheetz, Robert Scheetz, Chelsea Scheetz, Adam Scheetz, and Kasey Scheetz; and two great-grandsons, Jason and Bradley Scheetz. Robert was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Hildagard Kaiser and Elma Kennedy; and five brothers, Clayton, Martin, Elmer, Theodore, and Carl Scheetz. Friends may call Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel.
