The Life of Lois J Fink

LOIS J. FINK AUSTINTOWN – Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Lane Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel for Lois J. Fink, 84, who passed away Tuesday morning at Northside Medical Center. Lois was born April 12, 1927, in Youngstown, a daughter of the late Rutledge J. and Lorain E. (Monnin) Cox. She was a devout Baptist and member of the former Youngstown Baptist Church. Lois was a trained operatic singer performing at many community events and weddings. She was a Registered Nurse for many years working at several local hospitals and nursing homes. She served as secretary for the Mahoning Valley Chapter of the World War II POWS, loved sewing, knitting, crocheting, and baking, but most of all loved spending time with her family and attending their activities. She will be sadly missed by her husband, Robert Fink, whom she married Aug. 26, 1949; four children, Beatrice (Lynn) Jones of Berlin Center, Robert (Debra) Fink Jr. of Niles, Aprile (Mark) Hoffman of Newton Falls, and Larry (Kathy) Fink of South Gate, Mich.; one sister, Eileen Bowser of Austintown; 11 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Besides her parents, Lois was preceded in death by a sister, Dolors Noll. Friends may call from 11 a.m. until the time of the services Saturday at the Lane Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel.
