The Life of Lois Howard
Lois Howard NEW SPRINGFIELD – Lois Howard, 71, passed away at her residence Thursday morning Lois was born in Grafton, W.Va., on May 17, 1939, the daughter of the late Presley G. and Shirley (Ansel) Hall. A high school graduate, Lois went on to work as a medical secretary for St. Elizabeth Health Center. She married her husband, Robert Howard, on May 27,1961, and together they raised three children. Lois also had worked outside the home for the New Springfield School system and for the local Post Office. She was a devoted wife, mother, and loved being a grand and great-grandmother. She was a member of the New Springfield Church of God. Lois leaves behind her husband, Bob, at home; daughter, Julie Bornemisza of New Springfield; sons, Mr. Scott Howard and his wife, Cathy, also of New Springfield and Mr. Curt Howard and his wife, Donna of Treemont, Ill; three sisters, Mrs Donna Welch of West Virginia, Mrs Joanne Sanford of Wisconsin and Mrs Shirley McCormick, also of Wisconsin; a brother, Mr. Chester Hall of Oregon; grandchildren, Kayla, Cody, Melissa, Jamie, Felicia and Ashley; and a great-granddaughter, Angela. Lois was predeceased by a sister, Penny Snyder. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 7 to 9 p.m. at the New Springfield Church of God in New Springfield on Friday, Aug. 20. A service for Lois will begin at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 21, at the New Springfield Church of God with the Rev. Alan Leach officiating. Graveside services will be held at the chapel at Greenhaven Memorial Gardens in Austintown.
