The Life of FLORENCE E BOWMAN
Florence E.M. Bowman, 93, of Union Park Health Services died of a heart ailment there Thursday. Graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Miss Bowman had lived in Des Moines all her life. She was a retired teacher and a member of Grand View Lutheran Church, American Legion Post 374 Ladies Auxiliary, Helping Hand Club and Retired Teachers Association. She enjoyed sewing and crocheting.
She is survived by a sister, Hazel Bornand and a brother, Lloyd Bowman, both of Des Moines.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. today at Hamilton's Near Highland Memory Gardens Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to her church or the American Legion Auxiliary.
