The Life of PHILLIP EUGENE STEVENS
Phillip Eugene Stevens, 61, of the 6900 block of Northeast Eighth Court in Ankeny died of a heart ailment Thursday at Mercy Medical Center. Services will be at noon today at Hamilton''s Near Highland Memory Gardens Funeral Home, with burial in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mr. Stevens had lived in Des Moines most of his life before moving to Ankeny 34 years ago. He was an engineering designer with John Deere before retiring, a member of Jaycees and enjoyed hot rods and racing.
He is survived by his wife, Janet; a son, Tim of Cedar Rapids; and two step grandchildren.
Friends may call from 11 a.m. until service time today at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Make a Wish Foundation or Animal Rescue League of Iowa.
