The Life of RICHARD JOHN LEINEN

Richard John Leinen, 51, of the 1400 block of East Madison Avenue died of cancer Tuesday at Hospice Kavanaugh House. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Christian Life Church, of which he was a member. Burial will be at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery. Mr. Leinen had lived in Des Moines all his life. He was the owner and operator of Leinen''s Frame and Body Alignment, an Army veteran of the Vietnam War and a member of AMVETS Post 2. He was a Covenant Partner and a volunteer and usher at his church. He is survived by his wife, Julie; a son, Christopher of Des Moines; six brothers, Keith, Jim, Kevin and Paul, all of Des Moines, Steve of Norwalk and brent of Urbandale; and a sister, Jackie Fontana of Ankeny. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Hamilton''s Near Highland Memory Gardens Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Richard John Leinen Memorial Fund.
