The Life of EDGAR SHELTON MCCARTNEY
Services for Edgar S McCartney, 58, of 2201 E Grand Ave. who died of lung cancer Sunday at Ioa Methodist Hospital, will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Hamilton Funeral Home. Burial will be in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mr. McCartney was an inspector for the Armstrong Rubber Manufacturing Co. for 30 years, retiring last September because of illness. He was born in Omaha and came here 33 years ago.
Surviving are his widow, Genevie; two daughters, Mrs. Marilyn McCall and Judith Ann McCartney, both of Des Moines; a son, Edward O. of Newton; three sisters, Mrs. Lenora Eminger, Mrs. Alberta Trotter and Mrs. Grace Meck, all of Omaha; a half-brother, William A Penry of Omaha, and three grandchildren.
