The Life of EARL DAVID RUMBAUGH

Earl David Rumbaugh, 83, passed away on Thursday at the Kavanagh House on Grand in West Des Moines.  Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 1st at 10:30 a.m. at Iles Funeral Home/Westover Chapel with burial to follow in the Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.

David was born in Des Moines on February 3, 1923, and lived most of his life in Des Moines.  He had worked for Marquette Cement company for many years, and also served in the US Navy during WWII.

He is survived by his daughter, Kathy (Jim) Carley, son, Chris (Terry) Meek, a daughter, Dell, a son, Bill, sister Iola Rhiner, four grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren, and is preceded in death by his wife, Margaret.

Visitation will be held on Sunday from 4-6 p.m. at Westover Funeral Home.  Memorial contributions may be direct to Hospice of Central Iowa.
