The Life of LENA C JURGENS
Lena C Jurgens, 90, of Luther Park Health Center, 1555 Hull Ave. died of a heart ailment there Monday. Services will be at 11 a.m. today at Dahlstrom Funeral Home. Burial will be in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mrs. Jurgens, who retired as a clerk at Northwestern Bell Telephone Co., was born in Kalispell, Montana, and lived in Des Moines 80 years. She was a member of Union Park Christian Church, Union Park Garden Club and Telephone Pioneers.
Among survivors are two daughters, Lois Jurgens of West Allis, WI; and June Due of Port Washington, WI; a son, Homer, of Placentia, CA; a sister, Dorothy Russick of Des Moines; five grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
Friends may call from 9 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to her church or the care center.
