The Life of ARNETTA EVELINA WARD
Arnetta E. Ward, 65, of 3841 E. 28th St. died Monday at Iowa Methodist Medical Center of complications of a brain tumor for which she had recently undergone surgery. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Staves Memorial United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mrs. Ward was born in Omaha and lived in Des Moines most of her life. She retired in 1983 as a clerk with the Internal Revenue Service and was a member of the Methodist Church, Alpha Phi Alpha sorority and Castle Club.
Survivors include her husband, Ralph; a son, Robert of Mesa, Ariz.; a daughter, Cynthia Ward of Martha''s Vineyard, Mass.; a sister, Judale Peitzman of Des Moines; two brothers, Terry McGrath of Bethel Island, Calif., and Carl McGrath of Laguna Niguel, Calif.; and a grandchild.
Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. today at Dahlstrom Funeral Home.
