The Life of MAX J TUINSTRA

Max J. Tuinstra, 76, of 1800 Watrous Ave., died of a heart attack Monday at Mercy Hospital Medical Center.  Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Southtown Baptist Church.  Burial will be in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Mr. Truinstra was born in New Sharon and had lived in Des Moines most of his life.  He retired in 1976 from security for Drake University.  He was a member of Southtown Baptist Church, Model Cities Priority Board and Friendship Force of Iowa.

Survivors include his wife, Mary; five sons, Kenneth of Riverton, WY, Rev. Mark of San Angelo, TX, Ted of Des Moines, Van of Rathdrun, ID,  and Kalvin of Sagle, ID; a daughter, Karen Truinstra of Grand Junction, CO; a brother, Kenneth of Des Moines; three sisters, Alverda Chamberlain and Ann Hill, both of Des Moines, and Ida Taylor of Minnesota; and 15 grandchildren.
