The Life of CLARENCE HENDERSON MCMURRAY

Services for Clarence H. McMurray, 85, of 2544 Mansfield Dr. will be at noon Tuesday at Hamilton's Funeral Home.  Burial will be in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Mr. McMurray died of a respiratory ailment Sunday at Iowa Lutheran Hospital.

A lifelong Des Moines resident, he was a former assistant general manager of Central Iowa Railway Co., where he was employed 58 years before his retirement in 1962.  He was a member of Grace Methodist Church and attended the former West High School.

A World War I veteran, Mr. McMurray was a member of Baldwin-Patterson American Legion Post.  He was a member of Home Masonic Lodge and the Des Moines Consistory.

Surviving are hsi wife, Elvira D.; two brothers, G.A. McMurray of Des Moines and C.W. McMurray of Dallas, TX; and a granddaughter.
