The Life of RICHARD E MATHENY

Services for Richard E. Matheny, 65 of 4101 Douglas Ave., who died of cancer Saturday at Mercy Hospital  Medical Center, will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Highland Park Funeral Home. Burial will be in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery. Born in Creston, Mr. Matheny lived mos of his life in Des Moines. He was a retired service manager for Sumner-Ramsey Pontiac. He was a member of Highland Park Presbyterian Church and a Navy veteran of World War II. Survivors include his wife, Shirley; a daughter, Jennifer; two sons, Robert and Time of Des Moines; his mother, Pearl of Des Moines; two brothers, Billy of Farrar, and Buddy of Des Moines and four grandchildren. Friends may vall today from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
