The Life of ARTHUR E EGKILD
Services for Arthur E. Egkild, 79, of 421 E. Eighteeth St., who died of cancer Tuesday at Iowa Methodist Hospital after a year''s illness, will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Hamilton''s Funeral Home. Burial will be in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mr. Egkild, who was a bailiff in Polk County, District Court for the recently retired Judge Tom K. Murrow, was born in Minneapolis and moved here from Chicago 45 years ago.
He was a member of Easton Place Methodist Church, the Cregier Masonic Lodge in Chicago, Des Moines Consistory, Za-Ga-Zig Shrine and the Amalgamated Meat Cutters Union Local 367.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Ruth Miller of Forest City and a granddaughter.
