The Life of FERN LETHA BITTING
Fern L. Bitting, 82, of 1649 E. Court Ave., a homemaker, died of a heart attack Monday at home. Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Hamilton''s Funeral Home. Burial will be in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mrs. Bitting was a lifelong resident of Des Moines. She was a member of Baldwin Patterson Legion Post No. 274 Auxiliary and was a former member of NCHA Polk-Dot Camping Club.
Survivors include a son, Donald R. Sr. of Des Moines; a sister, Velda Stuart of Mitchellville; six grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Friends may call after 4 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Baldwin Patterson Post No. 274.
