The Life of CLARENCE ELTON FYFE
Clarence Fyfe, 88, of Des Moines, died Saturday, September 23, 2006 at the Kavanaugh House on Grand. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, September 27, at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday evening at Hamilton''s Near Highland Memory Gardens.
Clarence was born December 23, 1917 in Perry, IA. He served his country during WWII in the US Army. He was a contract carrier for the Des Moines Register from 1946 until his retirement in 1983. Clarence enjoyed spending time with his family, especially the time spent at Diamond Head Lake.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Phyllis; children, James (Donna) Fyfe, Linda Fyfe, John (Lynnette) Fyfe, Bruce (Deb) Fyfe, and Cheryl Fyfe; twelve grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
