The Life of MERRILL D DEAL

Merrill D. Deal, 88, of 4220 Grand Ave. died of pneumonia Monday at Iowa Lutheran Hospital.  Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Hamilton''s Funeral Home.  Burial will be at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Mr. Deal was born in Zearing and lived in Des Moines 53 years, retiring as owner of Bob''s Fiesta Grill.  He was a member of Union Park United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Kathleen; a daughter, Judy Cornett of Urbandale; two sons, Larry of Fort Meade, SD, and Randy of Dallas, TX; three sisters, Thelma Martin of Whitten and Lura Roberts and Elva Doherty, both of Des Moines; a brother, Paul of Des Moines; and three grandchildren.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
