The Life of ROBERT LEROY DAMERVILLE
Robert LeRoy Damerville, 60, of 1608 E Lacona Ave. died of a heart ailment Thursday at Mercy Hospital Medical Center. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Hamilton''s Funeral Home. Burial will be in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mr. Damerville was a lifelong resident of Des Moines. He was a retired truck driver and had opened and operated his own air freight business. He was a former commander of American Legion Post 669 and was a US Navy veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Betty; three sons, Gary and Mike, both of Des Moines and Steve of Reno, NV; five daughters, Shirley Neipert of Wilton, Barbara Allison and Connie Mabon, both of Des Moines, and Renee Reyes and Lana Damerville, both of Denver, CO; two sisters, Elaine Collins of Des Moines and Merna Brockaw of Orlando, FL; 19 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Friends may call after 3 p.m. today at the funeral home.
