The Life of CASSANDRA BERNICE BOALS

Cassandra B. Boals, 78, of Craigmont Care Center, 2348 E Ninth St. died of a heart ailment Sunday at home.  Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Hamilton's Funeral Home.  Burial will be in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Mrs. Boals was born in Humboldt and had lived in Des Moines for 50 years.  She had been a clerical secretary for Capital Printing Ink.  She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Marlys Shelton of Des Moines; a son, James "Wally" of Denver, CO; a sister, Helen Tanner of Northwood; two brothers, Tom Torkelson of Appleton, WI and Kenneth Torkelson of Albany, OR; four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Friends may call after 3 p.m. today until service time at the funeral home.
