The Life of ELLEN THERESA JENSEN

Ellen Theresa Jensen, 80, of the 2300 block of Glenbrook Drive died of cancer Sunday at Kavanagh House on Grand in West Des Moines.  The body was cremated, and memorial serivces will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Luther Memorial Church, of which she was a member.  Burial will be in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Mrs. Jensen was born in Centerville, SD, and had lived in Des Moines since 1947.  She was a homemaker and had worked as a human resources associate with United Federal Savings and Loan.  She was a member of Antiquist Club and a volunteer with the Iowa Synod of the Lutheran Church of America.  She enjoyed gardening, sewing, music and entertaining.

She is survived by her husband, Harry; three daughters, Carol Bamford of West Des Moines, Laurie Bickett of Mankato, MN, and Karma Remster of Fort Wayne, IN; a sister, Mayme Holmberg of Centerville; two brothers, Oscar Andersen of Glendale, CA and Vernon Andersen of Centerville; and six grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to her church or Grand View College.  Hamilton's near Highland Memory Gardens Funeral Home is handling arrangments.
