The Life of MARION K HILL
Marion "Muggs" Hill, 65, of 815 Grandview Ave., died of cancer Tuesday at home. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Hamilton''s near Highland Memory Gardens Funeral Home. Cremation will follow the service.
Mr. Hill was born in Stanhope and moved to Des Moines from Webstr City in 1955. He owned and operated Hill''s Body Shop for 30 years and was a member of Good Guys Car Club and participated in Des Moines area pool leagues.
Among survivors are his wife,Wanda; two daughters, Debra Venosky and Kimberly Dowell, both of Des Moines; a son, Matthew Dowell of San Diego; his mother, Mary Ann Hill of Pleasant Hill; a sister, Colleen Miller of Zanesville, OH; and two brothers, John of New Brighton, MN, and Don of West Covina, CA.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice or Cancer Research at Mercy Hospital Medical Center.
