The Life of RUTH CLEO MONACO

Ruth Cleo Monaco, 91, of Altoona Manor Care Center in Altoona died of complications of Alzheimer''s disease Tuesday at Iowa Lutheran Hospital.  Graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Mrs. Monaco was born in Hastie and had lived in the Des Moines area many years.  She was a homemaker and also worked for Look Magazine and the Des Moines School Board.  She was a member of Open Bible Church.

She is survived by three daughters, Virginia Conklin, Vivian Warburton and Toni Burgess, all of Des Moines; a son, Monty of Salt Lake City, Utah; a sister, Shirley Allred of Des Moines; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

The family will greet friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Hamilton''s Funeral Home.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer''s Foundation in Des Moines.
