The Life of FRED ALLEN WALL
Fred Allen Wall, 83, went to be with the Lord Sunday, March 5, 2006 at Iowa Health Hospice Taylor House. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 8, 2006 at Grace Church, with burial at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 7, 2006 at Hamilton''''s near Highland Memory Gardens.
Fred was born in Erie, KS to Bill and Ethel Wall on April 6, 1922. He graduated from Ames High School. He joined the US Marines in 1941. Fred married Mary Bowman in September of 1946. They began their careers in the restaurant business starting with the Colfax Restaurant, the Lone Tree, the Silhouette, the Inn on Delaware and the Hi Ho Grill.
He leaves behind his wife of 59 years, Mary; his children, Jacqueline Roberts, Richard Wall, Brian Wall and Lynnette Wall; ten grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
