The Life of LAUREL DEAN MORRIS
Laurel "Cy" Morris, 76, of 3126 Indianola Road died of a heart ailment Friday at Mercy Hospital Medical Center. Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Hamilton''s Funeral Home. Burial will be in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mr. Morris was born in Derby and lived in Des Moines most of his life. He had worked for Standard Oil Co., the Ford Implement in Des Moines and during World War II at the defense plant in Detroit.
Surviving are two sisters, Nelda Lamb of Davenport and Jean Davidson of Des Moines; and a brother Ray Morris of Des Moines.
The family will meet with friends from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Meals on Wheels.
