The Life of GEORGE H WHATLING

George H Whatling, 77, of 714 Grandview Ave., died Tuesday at his home of a heart ailment. He had been ill a month. A native of Norwich, England, Mr. Whatling came to the United States about 65 years ago, and lived in Des Moines the past 55 years. He was a retired packing house clerk and a member of Union Park Masonic Lodge and Simpson United Methodist Church. Services will be at noon Friday at Hamilton''s Funeral Homes with burial in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery. Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Beverly Boldenow and Mrs. Annabell Norton, both of Des Moines, Mrs. Maxine Wessell of Indianapolis, Ind., and Mrs. Phylis Burns of Furth, Germany; 13 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
