The Life of AGNES F BOSWORTH

Agnes was born in Rockham, South Dakota in 1909 to Ben and Emma (Schmeling) Nittler.  She was retired from the Treasurer''s Department for the City of Des Moines where she worked as bookkeeper.

She was an active member of Beta Nu Soriety, Good Neighborhood Club, En-Theos Chapter of American Business Women and a board member of Lincoln High Alumni Association.  She was a member of Peace Lutheran Church, LWML and served as Parish Fellowship Chair as well as on the Board of Directors for Peace.  Agnes also worked for the Polk County Board of Elections.  She also was the Secretary/Treasurer for IPERS Improvement Association.

Agnes enjoyed her affiliation with Lincoln Alumni Association and was both Grand Marshall at Lincoln parades and most recently inducted into the Lincoln High School Hall of Fame.

Agnes was preceded in death by her husband, Harry L. Bosworth, her parents, nine siblings and her grandson, Randy DeBolt.  She is survived by her two daughters, Karen Knight of Pensacola, FL and husband, Jay, Karol Robbins of Des Moines and husband, Tom; grandchildren, Lisa Hockenberry and husband, Joe; Cindy Degarmo and husband, Jack; Kim DeBolt.  Agnes had 10 great-grandchildren, Tommy, Rusti, Justin, Kris, Nikki, Kassi, Heather, Kelsie, Brandon, Tanner and Ryan; two great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at Hamilton''s Funeral Home on Lyon Street at 11 a.m. Tuesday, January 25th.  Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home.  Internment will be at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be given to InTrust Hospice Taylor House.
