The Life of RAYMOND D STIVER
Raymond D. Stiver, 74, of 5980 NE 11th Ct. died of cancer Wednesday at Hospice Kavanagh House, 900 56th St. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Hamilton''s near Highland Memory Gardens Funeral Home, with burial at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mr. Stiver was born in Des Moines and had lived in the area all his life. He was the owner of Stiver Electric, a Navy veteran of World War II and attended Grace Church in Des Moines.
Survivors include a son, Randy of New Virginia; three stepsons, Robert McChesney and David McChesney, both of Des Moines, and Donald McChesney of Perry; three daughters, Kimberly Kain and Sandra Shehan, both of Des Moines, and Sharon Durham of Swan; two stepdaughters, Deborah McChesney of Central City and Linda Smith of Winterset; a brother, Neil of Thousand Oaks, CA; 15 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Mr. Stiver''s companion was Carolyn Morgan of Des Moines.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the John Stoddard Cancer Center.
