The Life of GRACE LUCINDA WILLIAMS

Mrs. Grace L Williams, widow of DeWitt Q. (Duke) Williams, long-time teacher, coach and principal of East High School, died of a stroke and Parkinsons''s disease Sunday at Garden Court Nursing Care Center, 233 University Ave. after a three-year illness. Mrs. Williams, 81, of 2346 E. Twenty-ninth St was born in Paton and lived in Boone before coming to Des Moines 49 years ago. She was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Hamilton''s Funeral Home with burial in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery. Mrs. Williams is survived by a daughter, mrs. Mary Jo Haugo of Litchfield, MN; two sons, Roe T Williams of Des Moines, and James R Williams of Huntsville, AL; two brothers, Francis Tallman of Akron, OH and Sanford Tallman of Paton; two sisters, Mrs. Sue Terrell of Des Moines and Mrs. Rose Hogle of Troy, OH, 13 grandchildren and one great-grandson.
