The Life of OLIVER DWAYNE CULP
Oliver "Dwayne" Culp, 69, died Monday, March 29, 2004 at Mercy Hosptial Medical Center. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, April 1 at Meredith Drive Reformed Church. Visitation will take place from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Hamilton''s Near Highland Memory Gardens Funeral Home.
Dwayne was born December 29, 1934 in Des Moines, Iowa. He graduated from Valley High School and served in the 82nd Airborne Division of the US Army. He had worked at Meredith Printing and The Des Moines Register, as well as owning and operating his own print shop. He was a member of the Meredith Drive Reformed Church and the Skydiving Association. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and family, skydiving and fishing.
Dwayne is survived by his wife, Donna; his mother, Lela Culp Butler; his children, Sherri Haynes (Jim), Diana Christiansen (Dale), Steven Culp (Linda), Michael Culp (Candy), Dennis Culp (Jayne), Paula Grapp (Marty), Lisa Jones (Brandy) and Shawn Culp (Virginia); his sisters, Joan Conyers (John) and Karen Hofen (Edwin); 23 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He was preced in death by his son, Andrew Culp and his father, Oliver Dell Culp.
