The Life of CHRISTOPHER ALLEN THORN
Christopher Allen Thorn, 40, of 2106 Lay St. died of carbon monoxide poisoning Tuesday at home. The death has been ruled a suicide. Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Hamilton''s Funeral Home. Burial will be at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mr. Thorn, a lifelong Des Moines resident, was a self-employed painter and a Marine Corps veteran.
He is survived by four daughters, Tina McCann, Randi Thorn, Ricki Dykes and Stevie Dykes, all of Des Moines; four sons, Austin, Christopher Jr., and Adam, all of Des Moines, and Bill of Omaha; a stepdaughter, Amanda Conlin of Des Moines; his mother, Sherry Thorn of Des Moines; and his father and stepmother, Howard and Deb Thonr of Des Moines; two sisters, Joanna McBee of Polk City and Nicole Thorn of Des Moines; a brother, Howard, Jr. of Des Moines; and a grandchild.
Friends may call from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
