The Life of EDNA A EMERSON
Services for Mrs. Edna A. Emerson, 73, of Denver, CO, a former Des Moines resident, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Colonial Funeral Chapel, with burial at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mrs. Emerson died Monday in Denver after an illness of several years.
Born in Lincoln, NE, Mrs. Emerson lived in Des Moines about 50 years before moving to Denver about six years ago. She was a retired nursing home operator.
She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Ruby Taylor of Denver, and Mrs. O.B. Smyth of Lakewood, CO; four stepsons, Russell Emerson of Indianapolis, William and Robert, both of Des Moines and Dale of Davenport; a sister, Mrs. Myrle Good of Des Moines; a brother, Claude Overton of Des Moines; a half-brother, Herman Von Bush of Blaine, TN; two half-sisters living in California; 14 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
