The Life of AMOS DUANE SWARTZ

Services for Amos D. Swartz, 54, of 2905 E. Fortieth St., will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Hamilton''s Funeral Home.  Burial will be in Highland Memory Gardens.

Mr. Swartz died Monday of a kidney ailment at Iowa Lutheran Hospital.

Mr. Swartz was born in Ames and lived in Des Moines for 31 years.  He retired in 1973 as an accountant for Ford Implement Co. and was U.S. Marine Corps veteran of World War II.  He was a member of Sheridan Park United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Frances; a son, Ronald, stationed with the U.S. Marine Corps at Camp Pendleton, Calif., three daughters, Linda Kay Swartz of St. Petersburg, Fla., Catherine Ann Swartz and Barbara Ellen King both of Des Moines; a brother, John of Des Moines; three sisters, Betty Allen of Black Canyon City, Ariz., Martha Sailsbury of Ames and Virginia Lettow of Alden; and two grandchildren.

The family suggests memorial contributions to the Sheridan Park Methodist Church.
