The Life of RICHARD W ROBINSON
Richard W. "Lefty" Robinson, 66, of 721 NE 52nd Ave. died of a stroke Saturday at Altoona Manor Care Center, 200 Seventh Ave. SW, Altoona, where he had lived since May. Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Hamilton''s Funeral Home, with burial in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mr. Robinson, a lifelong Des Moines area resident, was a truck dealer and race promoter and was a member of the Highland Park Christian Church, USAC Car Association and the NASCAR Racing Association.
Surviving are his wife, Lois; four daughters, Sandra Moran and Stacey Edwards, both of Des Moines, Stephaney Moyer of Polk City and Shawna Robinson of Spartanburg, NC; a son, Bland of Des Moines; three sisters, Doris Howard of Des Moines, Shirley Slaybaugh of Waukee and Patricia Edwards of Florida; and seven grandchildren.
Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
